The St. Albans Fire Department is once again partnering with St. Albans Parks and Recreation and L.G. Lifeguarding to host an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course, taking place May 16–18, 2025.
The course offers a hybrid format, with participants completing online coursework before gathering for in-person sessions at two local locations: SAFD Central Station (51 6th Avenue) and the St. Albans City Park Pool.
The in-person schedule is as follows:
- Friday, May 16: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM at SAFD
- Saturday, May 17: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the City Pool
- Sunday, May 18: Begins at 8:00 AM at SAFD, transitioning to the pool in the afternoon
This certification opportunity is open to anyone 15 years of age or older. The cost to enroll is $200 per person. Class size is limited, and early registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a spot.
